June 2021
COVID-19 Pandemic Response
It is with a heavy heart that the Board of Directors of Old Church Theater made the difficult decision to cancel our 2020 season. Though in 2021 we’ve continued to be unable to hold a “normal” season, things are picking up with our first show, Alice in Wonderland, being presented in August at Bradford Academy. We hope to do additional shows in 2021 and early 2022, before kicking off a formal 2022 season.
2020 season tickets will be honored at all 2021 shows. Please remember that multiple punches can be used at a single show. Since the season will be truncated, bring a friend, or two, or three.
We want to extend our heart felt thanks to you, our patrons and supporters for your continued support during this difficult time. Stay safe and we hope to see all of you in 2021.
Please continue to check our Facebook and website for updates on our season and creative ways we are finding to connect during these unprecedented times. We are wishing you all well.
Alice in Wonderland
Written by Lewis Carroll
Adapted by William Glennon
Directed by Melissa Mann & Robin Keith
This new version is so close to the original in intention and feeling that you might suspect that Carroll himself had written it. And yet, it includes many unusual and imaginative staging devices. A group of performers seeks out Alice in order to provide “her turn” in Wonderland. And, as her adventure unfolds, they play the many characters she encounters and grows to love. A joy to see and hear.
